DMK Industry is a Business Unit of the DMK Group – Germany’s largest dairy cooperative – and a key contributor to its success. We supply a complete range of dairy-based powders, encapsulated ingredients, bulk fresh dairy products, and cheese to food and nutrition companies around the globe.

We operate in a dynamic B2B environment, serving a broad spectrum of customers across the food processing, sports nutrition, and beverage sectors, as well as working closely with selected distributors. Our product portfolio includes whey protein concentrates, lactose, milk powders, cheese, and functional powdered encapsulates.

DMK Industry plays a crucial role within the DMK Group. As a cooperative, one of our key drivers is delivering a competitive farmgate milk price for our member farmers. Over the past years, DMK Industry has developed into a leading contributor to that goal, reflecting its strategic importance within the group.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in the food industry in the Benelux region. Experience with B2B sales of ingredients such as dairy components, flavors or food chemicals is essential – retail experience is less relevant. This is a commercially focused role with wide responsibility across our product categories.

The position is based at the DOC-Wheyco-DP Supply facility ‘Zuivelpark’ in Hoogeveen (NL) and includes regular visits to our modern headquarters in Bremen (DE), as well as to various production sites across Germany.

DMK Industry is a recently integrated unit, created from several former DMK business entities. As a result, team building, synergy and shared value creation are central to our culture. Given the fast-paced nature of the dairy industry, this is a highly dynamic and evolving environment. The planned merger between Arla and DMK – currently pending approval by members and competition authorities – is expected to offer further synergistic opportunities in the near future.

This role becomes available due to the evolving structure of DMK Industry and the upcoming retirement of a colleague at the end of 2025. You will report directly to the Category Head Encapsulates & Powders and collaborate across all product categories within DMK Industry.

Account Manager Benelux

 

What will you do?

As Account Manager Benelux, you will be the commercial face of DMK Industry in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. You will manage and grow a diverse customer base that includes food processors, sports nutrition companies, beverage producers, and distributors.

You will sell across our entire product portfolio – from whey protein concentrates, lactose and milk powders to cheese and functional encapsulates – and act as a key partner for both existing and new clients.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing and growing sales in the Benelux region across all DMK Industry product categories

• Regularly visiting customers, maintaining strong relationships and identifying growth opportunities

• Initiating and coordinating projects to drive product innovation and customer engagement

• Providing market insights and customer feedback to internal teams (Product Management, Back Office, Sales, and Management)

• Keeping accurate sales forecasts and contributing to strategic account planning

• Participating in sales meetings, pricing pitches, and commercial events in Bremen and other DMK sites

 

What do you bring?

• A completed university degree or higher vocational education (HBO), preferably in Food Science, Business or a related field

• At least 5 years of successful B2B sales experience in the food industry, preferably 10 years

• A strong, active network in the Benelux food industry (e.g. food ingredients, flavours, dairy, food chemicals)

• Clear commercial acumen and a proactive, hands-on approach

• Willingness to travel frequently within the region

• Fluency in Dutch and English; German and French are strong assets

• A true team player with the ability to collaborate across locations, cultures and departments
